Privacy policy

Updated November 1, 2026. This notice covers the English-language gift guide at meinbasar24.com.

Who is responsible?

Serdal Düdükcü, Unterm Palmberg 5, 34621 Frielendorf, Germany, is responsible for this website. Contact: meinbasar24@gmail.com. See our legal notice for operator information.

Website delivery and security

Opening a page sends connection information to the server delivering it: your IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser and operating-system information, and a referring page where your browser supplies it. Our hosting and technical service providers receive this information to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website.

Technical records are retained for the period needed for delivery, fault investigation and security, and longer only where a specific incident or legal duty requires it. The period depends on the type of record, the fault or security issue being investigated and any applicable legal retention duty. Contact us for information about a particular request or record.

Basari searches and saved gifts

Basari matches your words and selected filters against this website’s gift catalog in your browser. It does not send your search text to an external AI service. The website does not create a customer account, record your gift-search text on our server or use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Selecting a heart asks the gift finder to remember that gift on your device. It saves product identifiers in local storage under meinbasar24.us.gift-catalog.saved.v1 and reads them when you return. The shortlist is not sent to us and has no automatic expiry. Product identifiers removed from our catalog are removed from your local shortlist when the finder loads. Remove individual hearts, use “Clear saved gifts”, or clear this site’s data in your browser to erase it. If storage is blocked, saving may work only for the current visit.

This limited storage supports the saved-gift function you request. We rely on section 25(2)(2) TDDDG for storage necessary to provide that function, and on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where personal data is involved, for the interest in providing your requested shortlist. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can browse and search without saving gifts.

Cookies and optional services

The current public gift guide does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, newsletter forms, checkout or embedded videos. The presence of Site Kit in WordPress does not mean Analytics is connected. Basari’s image is served by this website. We currently do not request consent for optional analytics or advertising because those services are not loaded.

WordPress may use necessary authentication and security cookies for the restricted administrator area. These are separate from browsing the public gift guide. If optional tracking or embeds are introduced, their data use and any required consent controls must be provided before activation.

Product photographs

Product cards load photographs from Amazon’s image servers when they enter or approach your screen. Your browser connects to those servers, which receive your IP address and technical browser information to deliver the image. We set a no-referrer policy on product images so the browser does not send this page’s URL with the image request. This happens before you click a shopping link. Basari’s own image remains hosted on this website.

Photo records come through our German Amazon API catalog. Links labelled “Photo source: Amazon.de” open the German source listing; the separate shopping buttons open Amazon.com. Following either link takes you to the respective Amazon service, where its privacy notice and choices apply. Amazon may process information outside the EEA. See Amazon’s privacy notice for details of its processing and international transfers.

Amazon.com links

Shopping links contain our Amazon.com affiliate identifier. Clicking a link takes you to Amazon, which then receives your connection information and may use cookies or other identifiers for its service and referral attribution. Amazon handles orders, payment and delivery under its own terms. We do not receive your Amazon password, payment-card details or an individual customer order record through this website.

We may receive aggregate affiliate reporting and commissions for qualifying purchases. See Amazon’s US privacy notice for its processing and choices, and our affiliate disclosure. A retailer’s privacy practices after you follow a link are separate from this site’s browser storage.

Email enquiries and international processing

If you email us, we use your address, message and information you include to answer and follow up. For enquiries connected to a contract, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for general questions and corrections it is Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in responding. Providing an email is voluntary, but without a reply address we may be unable to answer. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Our contact address uses Google’s Gmail service. Google and its service providers process email and related technical information, potentially outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google describes its use of adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers, and standard contractual clauses in its data-transfer framework information. See also Google’s privacy policy.

Correspondence is kept as needed to answer and follow up, then removed when no longer needed, unless a legal retention duty or a specific need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims applies. Relevant recipients are the operator, email provider and technical providers necessary to run the service; authorities or advisers receive information only where a legal requirement or a particular claim calls for it.

Your rights and contact

Subject to the conditions in applicable data-protection law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it for the future without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact meinbasar24@gmail.com to exercise a right.

You may complain to a supervisory authority, including where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. Our local authority is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. This guide is for adults choosing gifts. We do not invite children to submit personal information.
